Shopify Sync

Keep your Shopify product images in sync with your Sirv AI Studio workspace. Changes flow both ways.

Connecting your store

Go to Settings > Integrations > Shopify and click "Connect Store." You'll be redirected to Shopify to authorize the connection. Grant the requested permissions (read/write for products and files) and you're set.

Once connected, Sirv AI Studio pulls your full product catalog automatically. Depending on catalog size, the initial sync takes anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. You can start working while it's still importing.

Bi-directional sync

Sync works in both directions. When you add or update a product in Shopify, the changes appear in Sirv AI Studio within minutes. When you push images from Sirv AI Studio to a product, they show up in your Shopify admin right away.

Product data that syncs from Shopify includes: title, description, vendor, product type, tags, variants, and all associated images. Images that sync from Sirv AI Studio to Shopify include the file and its position in the gallery.

Pushing images to Shopify

Open any product in Sirv AI Studio and click "Push to Shopify" to send its linked images to your store. You choose whether to replace all existing product images or add the new ones alongside them. For batch updates, select multiple products from the list and use "Push to Shopify" from the bulk actions menu.

Only images with assigned roles get pushed. The main image becomes the featured image. Gallery images follow in the order you set. Swatches sync to variant images if you map them to specific variants.

Importing Shopify products

The initial connection imports everything, but you can also trigger a manual re-import from Settings > Integrations > Shopify > "Re-sync Products." This is useful if you suspect something fell out of sync or if you just added a large batch of products directly in Shopify.

During import, existing products update with the latest Shopify data. New products get created automatically. Products deleted in Shopify are flagged but not removed from Sirv AI Studio, so you don't lose any work.

Auto-push on approval

Enable auto-push under Settings > Integrations > Shopify > "Auto-push approved images." When this is on, any image that gets approved in your review queue is automatically pushed to its linked Shopify product. No manual step needed.

This is especially powerful with the supplier portal. A supplier uploads a product photo, your team approves it, and it appears on your Shopify store within minutes. The whole pipeline from supplier camera to live store runs without anyone touching a file manually.

Position ordering

Image order matters in Shopify. The first image becomes the featured image shown in collections and search results. Drag images within a product's gallery in Sirv AI Studio to set the order, and that order is preserved when pushing to Shopify.

If you reorder images in Shopify directly, the next inbound sync updates the order in Sirv AI Studio to match. The last change wins, whether it was made in Shopify or Sirv AI Studio.
