Batch Processing
Run any AI tool on hundreds of images in one go. Upload files, paste URLs, or connect a Google Sheet.
What is batch processing?
Instead of processing images one at a time, batch mode lets you queue up an entire folder of product photos and apply the same tool and settings to all of them. You set it up once, hit run, and come back when it's done.
Every credit-based AI tool in Sirv AI Studio supports batch mode. That includes background removal, upscaling, background replace, product lifestyle shots, alt text generation, smart crop, image-to-image editing, and more.
How to start a batch job
Open any AI tool page (for example, Background Removal) and switch to the Batch tab. You have three ways to add images:
- Upload files directly from your computer. Drag and drop works too. Up to 500 images per batch.
- Paste image URLs one per line. Useful when your images already live on a CDN or in a CMS.
- Import from Google Sheets or upload a CSV/XLSX file. Great for catalog-scale jobs where you already have a spreadsheet of product image URLs.
Once your images are loaded, configure the tool settings. These apply to every image in the batch. For background removal you might pick a model. For upscaling you choose a scale factor. Same controls as the single-image mode.
Click Start Batch and the job begins processing. Each image is queued individually, so if one fails the rest keep going.
Monitoring progress
A live progress bar shows how many images have completed, how many are still processing, and how many failed. You can see the result thumbnail for each image as it finishes.
Failed images show an error message. Common reasons: the source URL was unreachable, the file format wasn't supported, or the image was too large. You can retry failed images without restarting the whole batch.
Canceling a batch
Hit Cancel at any time to stop remaining images from processing. Images that already finished are kept. You only pay credits for images that actually processed.
Downloading results
When the batch completes, you can download all results as a ZIP file or save them directly to your asset library. If you have Sirv CDN connected, results can be auto-uploaded to your Sirv account for instant CDN delivery.
You can also download individual results by clicking on any image in the results grid.
Credits and pricing
Batch jobs use the same per-image credit cost as single processing. There is no extra charge for batching. If background removal costs 1 credit per image, a batch of 200 images costs 200 credits. Check your remaining balance in account settings before starting a large batch.
Tips for large batches
- Test your settings on 2-3 images first. Make sure the output looks right before committing 500 credits.
- Use URL import for large catalogs. It is faster than uploading hundreds of files through the browser.
- Keep source images under 20MB each. Larger files take longer and may time out.
